Monza circuit, 3rd October 2015
The driver Francesco Sini gets on his powerful Chevrolet Corvette.
He’s going to take part to a race of the International GT Open Championship.
In his car’s bonnet there is a powerful V8 engine.
He’s wearing a 1967 chronograph under the cuff of his black Solaris Motorsport race suit.
Its model is Enicar Aqua Graph.
The chronograph still works perfectly after 48 years and its peformance are not less than those of the V8 engine. It’s beautiful and flawless, completely authentic.
The watch has got a very rare silver dial with grey subdials. It is very uncommon and only a few pieces have been made; it has recently been found in Switzerland.
It has never been put in as standard in the Aqua Graph models. It is a real prototype and it has been made to enrich a line of very high level professional watches. Though, the black dial has been more appreciated because it could be seen underwater. In fact, the cronograph was to be used in water sports.
But silver dial is something magic.
The race on the Italian Circuit was the first time the cronograph has been seen, hence its nickname: “Monza Prototype”.
Movement Valjoux 72,a wonderful watch and really unique.
